Welcome to the journal of DATS Captain Satsuma Rentarou's chronicles in a strange new Digital World. Pull up a chair and get comfortable, but don't be surprised if you learn things about this mysterious man that you didn't know before.
Background Information:
Though intimidating at first glance with a towering height, a stern disposition and constantly wearing dark blue sunglasses, Captain Satsuma is actually a very strong and just Digimon Tamer, chosen 10 years ago by total fate to be the human partner to Kudamon, a emissary from the Royal Knights. Since then, he changed from a reluctant private investigator thrust into a mysterious new world, into a stern, but father-like commander of the Digital Accident Tactics Squad, a Human/Digital World border patrol founded by himself and his old police partner Yushima Hiroshi around that time. He has the most knowledge of the nature of the Digital World of the team, consisting of 14-year-olds Daimon Masaru and Tohma H. Norstein, 18-year-old Fujieda Yoshino, and the two adult operators Shirakawa Megumi and Kurosaki Miki. His dedication to DATS' cause can only be matched to the faith he has in his team, often putting his career at great risk when he feels he can put a mammoth task on their shoulders alone.
As the agency's captain, he takes his work very seriously: his matter-of-fact attitude and tendency to suddenly appear amidst a chaotic atmosphere to bring much-needed order are among his most notable traits. He would appear to show little to no emotion at all, but this doesn't mean that he's completely incapable of showing how he feels; as when he is angered, his shouting can easily rattle the staunchest of characters- earning him the longtime nickname "Oni no Ikkatsu". Only Kudamon is aware of the emotions he has when not in the public eye, and is often the emotional balance when Satsuma is, if ever at all, having trouble grappling with his suppressed emotions. Emotions that, he feels, have no place interfering with his work.

But recently, something's gone horribly wrong. An old research assistant of Masaru's missing father Professor Daimon Suguru, has been manipulating the government behind the scenes to gain the ability to go into the Digital World and slaughter its inhabitants- a grudge he has been holding for almost a decade because of the massive emotional trauma that the Digimon had caused him during the 6-man expedition 10 years ago. That man is Kurata Akihiro, and with one carefully-crafted lie after another, has single-handedly overthrown the DATS branch and branded Satsuma and his team as most-wanted criminals.
Masaru and the others have gone into the Digital World to stop Kurata's extermination plans, but Satsuma was forced to stay behind inside the gate to fight off three of Kurata's personal "experiments". Though the 3 mutated humans went on to say that he was dead after a huge explosion, nothing could be further from the truth....
Now, flung from one oddball dimension into a Digital World neither he nor Kudamon are familiar with, will he find a easier time of adjustment and coping in an environment they are both "meant" to be in?

Things to keep in mind when viewing/posting:
-Although Satsuma primarily "writes" in this journal, sometimes Kudamon will write an entry, which will be indicated by his own personal icon.
-There's the potential for both het and yaoi, because everyone knows Satsuma is bi. Or at least, he'd *like* to be strictly straight, if there weren't so many guys out to get him. And you know what I mean. >:) But while there may not be any adult-oriented entries, any that do pop up will be under an LJ-cut.

avoria_academy, he will have a limited knowledge of the future and will understand any character from a future point in the series than him.
